Zanita crush

Usually this would be a model crush but when it comes to Zanita Whittington is hard to talk about categories. 21-year-old fashionable darling from Australia is not just some ordinary magazine beauty but she could easily own a magazine; she is model, photographer, stylist, writer and the blogger. Tell me that you haven’t immediately fallen for Zanita the moment you came across her online world. If so you must have noticed it's not just about the pretty clothes or vintage treasures or her Blake Lively meets Claudia Schiffer in 90s glance, but the overall energy that radiates from Zanita.
Except the star of bloggosphere, she is very successful model- recently she appeared in editorial for British Vogue and she is American Apparel’s Classic Girl.
Not are only self-portraits of outfits that you would adore on Zanita’s blog but you could easily become obsessed with photo stories she posts frequently, all captured and styled by her. Amateur photographer, as she describes herself in about me section, knows better what to do behind the lens than many self-proclaimed fashion photographers nowadays.
And leggy beauty with Nikon camera in her hands doesn’t have the slightest problem with coordinating both of her passions. She said in interview for ÆTIENNE.NET she enjoys both equally; Modeling is my career, it's challenging and rewarding. Photography is my creative hobby; it's fun and relaxing.
Who says you cannot have it all?

Hello again boyfriend shorts

Trends come and go, cuts become outdated but somehow we can easily become connected to the items we made with our neat hands. And many times we played with the jean in our hands. Sometimes same old jeans became firstly ankle denim pants then knee shorts, shorts or even short shorts. Creativity led some even further so they borrowed jeans from boyfriends or fathers in simple intention- to cut it. Bit baggy, these are splendid and don’t demand much precision with the scissors- trashier are more appealing. Because many of us already been cut gentleman pants to create shorts and then after few times of endless love stopped to wear them, this comes as little reminder.
So southern hemisphere girls will play layering with cutoffs while northern girls will wait bit colder months to wear tights and layers. Except summer tops daily, for night they will bring out from the closet most delicate lace tops. For lot of Amour they will wear boyfriend shorts with printed tops (leopard, floral, tribal or ethno) and vintage belt.

lace'n'beach

We loved the way lingerie or sleepwear was coming out of our closets, so the most chic girls in past seasons were looking like they haven't changed clothes. So, it’s not at least unusual that the trend of running out from the bed to the street would apply to beachwear, sooner or later. Lilibon is New York City based swimwear brand, inspired by lingerie from our dream world. That dream world continues to be visible through the day with beauties figured out by designer Emilie Bon. Riviera’s born Bon and stepdaughter of famous fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh, before her own label worked for floral designer Christian Tortu, as buyer for Calypso St. Barth and owned small boutique in the South of France. Lilibon label is inspired by her idyllic childhood spent hunting for sand dollars on Bahamas.
This year collection of lace swimsuits is pure magic; feminine 40's inspired cuts, lace frills, sometimes embroidered with satin ribbons, and all in very delicate colors (lavender tone is so beautiful). Models Coco and Nouch are one-piece swimsuits while Fanny and Lola are bikinis (triangle and bandeau). This collection is most of femininity we’ve brought to beach lately, so with full right can be evaluated as imaginative and fanciful.
I have always loved lingerie and I aim to bring the same sense of style and unashamed femininity to women’s resort wear.” says Emilie. We say bravo to Lilibon and this celebration of femininity.

Summer stripes - everlasting love

It may not be the IT pattern of the season, but stripes are classic, specially in the summer. If you are bored with navy chic, add a little romance to your stripes or wear them in romantic way. French house Claudie Pierlot offers great range of striped tops and dresses. Not are just stripes that give charm to garments, but always unexpected bow or stylish zip somewhere in true manner of French- I don't care- simplicity. Striped pants By Malene Birger except look like a vintage heritage of Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn, but may become essential for every working girl out there that has problems on relationship clothes-heat-work. Or for every non-working girl crazy about pants in the summer. And these are The pants- simple, causal and chic, even for nights together with little of coral rouge à lèvres.
If bedazzled with crop tops, don't forget to visit Topshop for these little red or pastel beauties- Cheap & Chic.

how to wear A-line skirt

This season's IT piece is definitely a skirt. It's not body-con anymore, it's A-line and flaunting.
Let's just say that Kate Bosworth can be our teacher on the field of summer skirts.

p.s. Play with prints- who says top has to be in similar color as print on the skirt.

floral'n'beach: Window Shop

If last summer we haven’t realized the beauty of floral bikini, this year we might spend full beach time in floral garden. Floral swimsuits can be gentle and sexy in the same time, depending on the way you wearing them. So for those caught in the romance craving of the season are more pale patterns, and for those still attached to edginess are brighter flowers.
For large range of floral swimsuits, it's right to give a blessing to French label Bronzette. All of the liberty prints, they used in collection are very splendid and romantic. It is not easy to choose between the models; Kate(triangle bikini), Mathilde(bandeau) and Rose (bit more feminine triangle) or prints (delicate portofino and bit brighter saint-tropez. Oh if we could have all of them. Stores that carry Bronzette bikinis are La Nouvelle Vague and Clickini.(all the bikinis and prices featured here are from La Nouvelle Vague)
From La Novuelle Vague comes also Guia la Bruna’s swimwear line. Lingerie and swimwear from young Italian designer provide us most romantic swimsuits, with all that joyful vibe of ruffles, bows and again Liberty prints. Let’s say that’s completely nothing wrong with the childhood vibe, cause anyway the most beautiful bikinis are those we wore exactly during our childhood. Watch out that in models like Precious Love, Dreamy Girl, Fruity Diva or Magic Swan, you don’t overdo with playing in sand.

Summer 2010 must have list

Summertime and the living is easy?

Sunscreen is your best friend in these hot summer days
But also catch up with your friends if your schedule over the year was awful. Just awful.
Make a good reads list of all the books you wanted to read over the year
Don’t be upset if you didn’t get your perfect swimsuit figure-that’s just artifice of mind.
No one is perfect, neither you are
If you have opportunity for camping or Robinson Crusoe kind of vacation, go for it; but be equipped like Tim the tool man, and dressed like Jesus.
Buy a daily face moisturizer with UV protection and hair conditioner that hydrates hair (you can use it on the beach if you are not fan of hair-sprays)
Don’t be lazy: get a lemon, squeeze it into glass and make yourself huge lemonade. But I am not sure you need to use it to highlight your hair. I’ve heard the chamomile is much better.
Learn to manoeuvre the boat (we don’t need another Titanic so the row boat will be just fine)
You don’t have to be beach-busy all the time.
All that is expected for you to do is to put on your sunglasses and to pretend your boyfriend/friend/husband is your bodyguard.
Feeling hmmm about moving the summerhouse on the beach when it comes to beach equipment. You are allowed to do this only if you have children. Or if you feel like a child. If you do, that’s fabulous and you don’t have to read this.
Don’t buy swimsuit or the beach bag on the sale only because it’s cheep. These are your essentials; you have to like it, not feel so-so, I don’t know about them.
Don’t pack like you are going to travel the world in 80 days.
Fall in love and don’t calculate.
Deep breathing can make your life much easier.
If it is possible be eco friendly traveler.
Yachts are passé.
If you are going on boat (wanted: sailboat) pack striped tops, white linen dresses, and wavy hair.
If not already, fall in love with divine lavender in summer days: With bunches decorate your place, with bags add romantic aroma to your closet, with spray refresh your bed with before you vanish to dream land.
Summertime is right time to learn that is the best to stop making Prophecy collections before the things happen. Let it be or you will miss the moment.
Also try not to be too photo-I am having a great time–obsessed.
Scenario that seems terrible; stuck in the hot city feeling lonely happened probably to all of us so
Forget self-pity, you are NOW & HERE and you have to be self-entertainer.
First become friend with quiet city and then do whatever you want. When you feel social go play (there are lot of activities out there). When you feel vagabond take long walks, have a loooong coffee with newspapers, explore new places and shops. When you feel lazy, treat yourself with ice cream and movie marathon with your favorite director (Woody Allen is my foster father in that case). When you feel you need sunbath, climb on the nearest roof or rest on the grass in park with coffee.
When you feel rebellious have a bath in public fountain.
Hobo is chic.
Wear hat. Sun is our goddess but knows how to be tricky sometimes.

Of course the living is easy

Summer dress crush

Buttons sometimes completely can change the appearance of the plainest dress. In the summer, nice bright buttons give the bubbly charm to pastel garments as sundresses, tops or jumpers. The little gold-tone metal buttons, placed in the middle from neckline to hemline, even if just embellishment, on slim cut dresses can make miracles for the shape of the body.
Bit tight white dresses in stiff cotton or denim with these kinds of buttons have seaside chic and are wearable in many occasions. Similar dress in striped cotton has Sophomore in their latest collection. This bustier dress with the straps is now on sale at Opening Ceremony ($ 217.00).
Hip and playful button up dresses from Rachel Comey's spring summer 2010 collection, are inspired by Annie Clark of indie rock band St. Vincent. Annie performed in orange dress at the show and same dress later wore Whitney Port at Coachella. Sale doesn’t make choice easier because of three different versions of this ruched dress with sweetheart neckline.
Orange one is available at Bloomingdale’s for $264.00,silk one with blue print at Gargyle $275.00, and the one in two tone print at Creatures of Comfort for $195.00.
Hey, aren't you in love with "St Vincent" dress?!
