We loved the way lingerie or sleepwear was coming out of our closets, so the most chic girls in past seasons were looking like they haven't changed clothes. So, it’s not at least unusual that the trend of running out from the bed to the street would apply to beachwear, sooner or later. Lilibon is New York City based swimwear brand, inspired by lingerie from our dream world. That dream world continues to be visible through the day with beauties figured out by designer Emilie Bon. Riviera’s born Bon and stepdaughter of famous fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh, before her own label worked for floral designer Christian Tortu, as buyer for Calypso St. Barth and owned small boutique in the South of France. Lilibon label is inspired by her idyllic childhood spent hunting for sand dollars on Bahamas.
This year collection of lace swimsuits is pure magic; feminine 40's inspired cuts, lace frills, sometimes embroidered with satin ribbons, and all in very delicate colors (lavender tone is so beautiful). Models Coco and Nouch are one-piece swimsuits while Fanny and Lola are bikinis (triangle and bandeau). This collection is most of femininity we’ve brought to beach lately, so with full right can be evaluated as imaginative and fanciful.
I have always loved lingerie and I aim to bring the same sense of style and unashamed femininity to women’s resort wear.” says Emilie. We say bravo to Lilibon and this celebration of femininity.
