NEAT or NOT; Moschino chain jacket

Yes, I know we adore gold chains, but who has ever thought of them as outerwear? Moschino designer Rossella Jardini came on idea of chains on the top so she designed a jacket. Jacket made of chains. The “bare jacket” from spring ready to wear collection is built by black leather frame that links elegant gilt chains. Because of chains, jacket is sheer so it hardly can be jacket in the meaning of a word. Though is uncommon, this round neck metal jacket can be great statement piece for spring, especially for the evenings. Also what is special is the price of it (€2,975.65 on net-a-porter). Jacket had spotlight few times in editorials (February issue of Vogue Paris on Daria Werbowy and in Elle on Jennifer Lopez) and except Alicia Keys on American Music Awards, has not seen on anyone yet. If you ask me I’d say this gold hardware is totally Edie Sedgwick. And what you are saying? Is it NEAT or NOT?

Hey Misslikey :)

For me? It's NOT. I'm not liking the pattern that the black has followed.....it looks curtains and not the kind that you wished Maria would have made clothes out of them after singing "Favorite Things" :::smiles:::

Have a fab weekend :)

I think it's a very cool statement piece. I might have preferred this with silver chains personally, because I rarely wear gold, but the idea is cool. I just wonder how heavy this jacket is, because I once tried on a dress with chain sleeves and it weighed a ton!
