A girl and the shoe

Sometimes when I sleep at nigh, I have this strange dream. Sometimes it’s placed at Lanvin and sometimes at French Sole store. First I am surrounded with the light, great silky light that slowly disappears like some special effect from fancy Hollywood movie. There is a strange sound fragile like violins. More and more are becoming clear the wooden white shelves. On these shelves are little round floral boxes in line, and on every box is a pair of ballet flats, all shiny, polished and vivacious that you expect that they will start their own dance. Then I carefully start moving towards them and just in the moment when I want to pick up a pair, someone squeezes my hand very harsh and all the shoes disappear. I wake up sitting in bed and I start philosophical questioning myself if it is a dream or a nightmare when it’s equally beautiful and sad. Is it a sign of developed obsessive behavior or is it worst the fact than when first snow will come at the door, you will rather be ballerina on the ice than girl that wears boots with the fur coat. On these days when your feet will say ouch but you mind will put a veto on complain.
My mind, a very strange friend of mine, somewhere back in the history of my life have developed another obsession; fascination with delicate ladylike flat sandals. In exceptions, they can have a bit of the heel so that’s how my term, the church shoe was formed.
This summer when I was having my online mission, pursue of cute flats, during my working hours, I ran into awfully pretty Criss Cross sandals from brand called Marais USA. The moment I step on their world wide web, I forget all the shoes I know and felt like I know Catherine and Hayley, Marais mothers, all of my life. Work of Two Parsons colleagues makes me joyful because these two really know how to make a shoe. I mean, Practical shoe, every day good old shoe but at the same time shoe that’s graceful. And with civilized price.
On the beginning of this magnificent autumn, with the leaves that started to fall I fell again for Marais, but this time for Maryjane Bow models. Two tone beige, blue or black suede; troubled mind of mine cannot decide which pair is lovelier.
If only Cinderella knew for this version of Mary Jane’s she would become a princess by just looking at them.

“My boyfriend said once that if he hears one more time ballet flats,
he will commit a suicide.
So I decided to keep my mouth shut.”

Ah, those are so pretty! I've had plenty of shoe dreams myself and I love the ballerina style. The two-toned shoe on the left is my favorite!
