street, style and snap

There are no doubts of influence that street style has on fashion today. At first fresh faces and creative ways in individual styling…was very inspiration available to very indoor clique of fashion insiders. With photographers and amateurs that set on capturing interesting moments out and about, we started to see amusing street stories daily without being on right places in major fashion capitals. Mr. Scott Schuman, better known as The Sartorialist back in the 2005 quickly became instant bible of style-at home for many individuals around the globe interested in fashion. Same did Garance DorĂ©, prominent master not only for street snapshots, but for fashion illustration. So can be reality as Alice Fisher, from the Observer stated that those two are the best things that happen to style since Grace Coddington. Besides Garance and Sartoiralist, reading lists swiftly joined those like Altamiranyc (by Craig Arend) or Face Hunter Yvan Rodic, and even some girls around didn’t know how to buy shoes anymore without pre-glance at Tommy Ton's diaries on Jak & Jil. Thanks to flamboyant Street Peeper that as they state peeps cities all over the world we are able to see view on trends and fashion in San Francisco, Seoul or Sydney. Remarkable Maya from my latest obsession Turned Out except people with astonishing style, captures petite stories behind and together with collages she creates magic out of street styles. On the track from March of the last year is Citizen Couture, One more view of talented photograph lenses by enthusiast named Jason that catches style moments of the names we are always happy to see around (as are Carine, Daphne,Giovanna Bataglia, Miroslava Duma or clique of the models off the duty and some of our darling bloggers). The source of inspiration for the internet crowd keen on people style snaps, if it is not yet, will quickly become your bookmark.

All of the following photos below, are from Citizen Couture

Every city should definitely have its own streetstyle blog. I think it's really awesome to find inspiration in people that are actually "normal", I mean I looove to see models and fashion editors and stylists like Anna Dello Russo, Battaglia,Carine, etc but they're purely designer.

I agree, streetstyle has surpassed editorials and runway shots in terms of influence. I think it's just that more girls care about real style inspirations instead of what fashion editors or designers put together. Citizen Couture is great... and it helps to be able to snap pics of Carine or Miroslava ;-)
