Girl with parasol

She has brushed her hair. Standing in the corner of the room, she listens the rain outside. It’s falling for last half an hour with this sound of cry. Lovely rain. It washes out everything. The sorrow, the pain. Also it heals. It’s doctor for roses, azaleas and apples in the garden. They’ve been whining these days for drinks, so she doesn’t blame them for their joy. She picks up huge burgundy shawl and covers herself in it. She pours water into the pot and with the finger on which is rounded ring with emerald stone moves a wavy forelock from her eyes. When the tea is ready, she sits down on the faded tortoise settee on the porch and squeezes the eggshell porcelain cup. On these rainy days when sitting on the porch, she feels like someone ‘s here. She cannot see them, nor imagine them but these creatures from some other universes that don’t talk are trying to attract her attention. She enjoys in that serene sound and taps her fingers against the cup. Gazing at rain, she imagines one of those spring nights when the moon shines like sun on the water while clouds around are doing their own dance like frisky young. On one of those nights she will come home from party, very exhausted but she will stay on the porch for a while to listen to the whisper of flowers and petite animals that you cannot see with the eyes.
She will wake up in the dawn, and her black coffee will be bitterish. She will drink it in backyard pavilion. Then she will enter her wardrobe and put on shiny velvet dress. She will match it with her mother’s hat that has a feather on the side. On the doorstep while hugging the parasol made of most delicate Chantilly lace, sun would look at her and smile. Her hair will be smooth, and her skin will be soft. Next time that day when some planet sees her, it would be in the moonlight. And she will be on the train. Moon will tenderly stare at her when she will make herself a pillow out of her burgundy shawl. His shadow will sing her the silent lullaby. When the moon repels roguish clouds, he would see that lullaby finally calmed her longing eyes.
